Progress Reporting, Monitoring conducted among Geo-SAFER Mindanao Key Personnel

The Geo-Informatics for the Systematic Assessment of Flood Effects and Risks (Geo-SAFER) Mindanao Program conducted a Progress Reporting and Monitoring among its core-group last November 14, 2017 at Paras Beach Resort, Camiguin Island.

Project Leaders, Chief Science Research Specialists and Project Development Officers from the five (5) implementing Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the program namely: Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Caraga State University, Central Mindanao University, Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of Technology and University of the Philippines Mindanao attended the activity. Representatives from each HEI presented their project’s general information, current status & activities, accomplishments, problems encountered and solutions. An open forum was also conducted through which issues and concerns regarding the program were raised and addressed.

The activity was supervised by Ms. May Rose Pariñas and Ms. Meraida Reyes, monitors of the Geo-SAFER Program from the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST- PCIEERD), which is its funding agency.
