Geo-SAFER Agusan researchers present 3 papers at ACRS 2017

Engr. Jesiree L. Serviano and Engr. Joy C. Casinginan, members of the Geo-SAFER Agusan Hazard Information Dissemination team (HIDT) presented three (3) research papers during the 38th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS) last October 23-27, 2017 at New Delhi, India.
Presented during the ACRS were the research studies collaboratively written and conducted by select Geo-SAFER Agusan personnel entitled: “Simulating the Effects of Dredging to River Hydraulic Characteristics Using LiDAR”; “Mapping and Assessment of Flood Control Structures in Butuan City, Mindanao, Philippines using LiDAR and Flood Model Simulation”; and “Identification of Potential Water Source for Butuan City, Northeastern Mindanao, Philippines through Watershed Delineation and Characterization”.
Bearing the theme “Space Applications: Touching Human Lives”, the 38th ACRS was considered as an avenue on discussing technical issues and presenting research studies which was participated by students, researchers, professionals, practitioners, and policymakers across Asia.
